Description:

The instinctive action of sucking helps to calm and soothe babies and all parents know there’s nothing more wonderful than a calm, content baby. Soothers are known by many different names such as dummies, pacifiers, dodies and binkies. At Tommee Tippee Tommee Tippee use the word ‘soother’ as it does just that, soothes baby. When mum’s breast isn’t available, Tommee Tippee Breast-like soother is the next best thing for baby to latch onto in betTommee Tippeeen feeds. Made from super soft silicone, this soother feels, moves, flexes and stretches just like skin so there’s less chance of confusion when feeding baby from breast or bottle. The natural feel and flex of this breast-like soother, inspired by Tommee Tippee award-winning Closer to Nature® teat, provides a reassuring alternative to traditional soothers. Perfect if you’re worried that offering your baby a soother may disrupt breast or bottle feeding. When baby needs comfort, this soother offers a natural soothing experience. Your baby’s oral development is an important factor to consider when giving your baby a soother which is why Tommee Tippee soothers have been designed with oral development in mind. The symmetrical baglet allows your baby’s tongue and jaw to rest in the correct position therefore supporting the healthy, natural development of your baby’s mouth, teeth and gums. Tommee Tippee Breast-like soothers feature a symmetrical super-soft skin-like silicone baglet that is fully reversible and has no ‘right side-up’ so the soother will always be placed correctly in your baby’s mouth, even when baby puts the soother in their mouth themselves. The Tommee Tippee Breast-like soother shield curves away from baby’s face and offers superior ventilation and extra air flow and prevent the build-up of moisture which helps to protect baby’s delicate skin against irritation.

Extremely impressed. Little one has taken to this soother straight away which is a relief after having struggled previously with other soothers. As an exclusively breastfed baby it is a relief to finally find something else that can settle him. Cannot fault it in that respect but would have to mark down a point for aesthetics. The back of this soother is a little large and doesn't look the prettiest. I can imagine when closer to 6 months it might not look as large.

We received our soother a few days ago and my LG has taken to it so easily. She is exclusively breastfed and finds it difficult to take expressed milk from a bottle but since using the new soother we have seen a massive improvement in this. Also when using ordinary dummys she would suck them that hard she would get a horrible mark all around her mouth which would be red for a while. Due to the great design of the new soother she is unable to do this so no more red marks on her face. She is also able to hold it herself and replace it in her mouth if she takes it out. She was unable to do this with a regular dummy. Overall we are so impressed with this soother and will not use any others from now on!

I got this around a week ago, my little girl did take to it, but it kept catching on her clothes as its quite big so I changed her back to her normal tommee tippee ones. They dont look the best either if I'm honest but the teat feels lovely to touch and would help with moving from breast to bottle

My little one is now coming up to 3 months and is still using the 0-2 month newborn Tommee Tippee soother and won't take any others so thought I'd try this one. She seems to absolutely love the teat on it and accepts it straight away and is happy with it, however the plastic ring seems to make it tricky for her to keep in her mouth. I think it's too heavy/bulky so as soon as she starts to drift off it just falls out which wakes her back up again. I will keep trying her with them as she does seem to like the teat and p may get more used to it, but I think a standard handle with this teat would work better as opposed to the bulky plastic ring.

No more problems little one latched right away and was soothed easily and calmly with no adult help, it was just short of a hallelujah moment. Washing and sterilising is easy as there is no parts soapy water get trapped or difficult to clean areas. I wish i had tried these soother sooner but will be my first port of call and recommendation for all in future.

I read up on these dummies and thought I would give them a try, I breastfeed my son and we have had trouble getting him to take a teat at all. These are the only ones he will entertain although he does like to chew on them. I love the design and uniqueness of them, only down side is they are a little heavy for a newborn to keep in.
